This is the image for the news article titled TechOlympics 2016 a Success for Lakota StudentsLakota’s high school students always bring home top awards from TechOlympics, Cincinnati’s premiere high school technology competition and expo. This year was no exception.

TechOlympics was held in downtown Cincinnati on Feb. 19-21, and gave students the opportunity to network with professionals from top local companies, develop professional skills, learn about hot topics in technology, and compete against other schools in programming, networking, digital design and more.

Keynote speakers included UC President Santa Ono and Stuart Aitken, CEO of 84.51 (previously Dunnhumby). Lakota East teacher Dave McKain attends this event with his students each year, and is always impressed with the opportunities students have over the weekend-long event. “One of the most beneficial experiences for the students was the Mock Interview event on Saturday,” said McKain. “The HR people from various local companies guided the students one-on-one through the interview process and gave them excellent feedback to help them improve their interviewing skills.”
