WE Can: Persevering through a PandemicThinking back to Aug. 17, did you ever think in-person learning would still be an option three months later? Join us in celebrating this awesome milestone and all that we’ve overcome so far this school year with a special live video premiere on Nov. 17 featuring “WE are Lakota” students and staff.

This school year’s theme, “WE Can,” set the tone for an academic year especially marked by perseverance, grit and determination. With new safety protocols that have altered almost every aspect of the school experience, Lakota students, staff and families have been flexible and patient - all to keep one another safe while giving our kids the best possible education.

During a school year when it’s difficult to actually be an active participant in our schools like we prefer it, here’s one way to still “step inside” our buildings and classrooms and see what school looks like and what students and staff are saying about the year.

We’ll debut this special new video on Lakota’s Facebook page and YouTube channel on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Please consider sharing the video and leaving a comment in the form of a shout-out to one or more Lakota schools that are persevering through the pandemic. As an added bonus, the first 100 people who leave a comment will receive a “WE are Lakota” T-shirt and hand sanitizer.

Thank you to our students, staff, families and friends for standing by us during these challenging times. WE can and will get through this!
