Barber Shop Books & Boys

Barber Shop Books & BoysAll Lakota boys in grades 1-6 are invited to the first “Barber Shop, Books & Boys” program of the new school year Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. at X-Quiste Cutz (located at 7324 Kingsgate Way, Unit F in West Chester).

In partnership with a local barber shop, the Lakota early literacy program fosters a love of reading in young men while emphasizing the importance of relationship building. On the first Tuesday of every month, young readers are encouraged to bring with them a male role model. Each reader receives a free haircut, made possible by the Community Foundation of West Chester Liberty.
