In accordance with guidance from the Butler County Health Department, Lakota Local Schools has compiled a comprehensive resource manual outlining the district’s safety protocols and guidelines for its responsible reopening this school year.

"Everyone plays a role in acting responsibly to help keep our students, staff and families safe and healthy,” said Lakota Superintendent Matthew Miller. “The manual is designed to help guide both parents and staff on the preventative and reactive measures we can all take to help limit our exposure to COVID-19 as a school community. I sincerely appreciate everyone’s support and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.”

The district is requiring all staff to carefully review this document and is encouraging families to familiarize themselves with its contents as well. The resource provides information in the following areas:

      Staff and student guidelines for COVID-19 symptoms and positive cases;

      Contact information for county health departments;

      The daily health assessment checklist for staff and students;

      Administrative procedures for reporting confirmed COVID-19 cases;

      Secondary school protocols for staff, families and students; and

      Primary school protocols for staff, families and students.

The distinct continues to compile other helpful COVID-19-related resources and information to aid in a safe return to school for all Lakota students and staff.
