Six Lakota high school students have won national awards in the 2018 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Competition. Only a very small percentage of the 346,000 works of art submitted receive national awards.

Gold medal recipients will have their artwork displayed in New York City. Award-winning students, their parents, and their art teacher are invited to attend the National Award Ceremony at Carnegie Hall in June.
