Lakota’s monthly learning series, Family & Parent CommUnity University in partnership with Miami University Voice of America, continues Saturday, March 30 from 8 a.m. to noon with a session titled, “You’ve Graduated! What’s Next?”

Whether your post-graduation plans include enrollment, employment, enlistment or entrepreneurship, or the “4 Es,” get helpful tips and advice for that next step. Participate in breakout sessions led by guest speakers whose path also followed one of the 4Es, including:

  • Dr. Nelson Soto, provost and vice president for academic affairs, Union Institute & University

  • Emily Johnson, admission counselor, Regional Office of Admission, Miami University

  • Dr. Rodney Coats, Dr. Coats, professor of Global and Intercultural Studies and coordinator for Black World Studies, Miami University

Hosted by Lakota’s Outreach Diversity and Inclusion Department, each monthly session is led by expert Lakota staff and community partners and is designed to provide training and resources to parents, relatives, staff, community members and others who play a role in helping educate our youth.

Each session is live streamed and includes breakfast, compliments of Overhead Doors, and free childcare provided by student volunteers. The sessions are free and open to the public and take place at Miami University Voice of America Learning Center, located at 7847 VOA Park Drive in West Chester.
