Back-to-School Gateway: Electronic Forms

Important Notice:

Lakota's Back-to-School Gateway is being made available to all K-12 parents for the first time during the 2021-2022 school year. Parents will receive an email inviting them to log into the portal via OneLogin on Aug. 2 and complete their forms electronically no later than Friday, Sept. 10.


The Back-to-School Gateway, powered by Registration Gateway, is Lakota's parent portal for completing most district-level back-to-school forms electronically. For a limited time, at the start of each new school year, parents of students in grades K-12 are invited to review and update parent/guardian contact information, emergency contacts, medical information and authorizations for internet and device usage.

By accessing the platform via OneLogin, parents are able to verify or update information currently on file with the district. The Gateway will be closed on a specific date, as communicated to parents each school year. Please wait to receive an email invitation before logging in and following these steps: 

Logging In

  1. Log into your Lakota OneLogin Parent Portal (opens in a new window) .
  2.  Enter your Home Access Center username with “@lakotaparents.com” at the end.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Enter the HAC password; then click Continue. (If you are new to the District, your HAC credentials will be mailed to you.  If you need help with resetting a password, call your school building for assistance.)
  5. Click on the Registration Gateway icon (shown above) and click Back to School.

Updating Student Information

  1. The students associated with your username will be listed. 
  2. Click Pick for one student.
  3. Choose today's date when the calendar appears.
  4. Review data in the greyed boxes. If data items need to be updated, the school building or Welcome Center must be notified. Follow the instructions on the page.
  5. Boxes that are not greyed out may be updated.
  6. After reviewing or updating each page, click Save and Next.

Important Notes

  1. The numbering of the Emergency Contacts follows the numbering of the guardians. If you have two guardians listed, the first emergency contact will be number 3. Please do not change the order of existing contacts. 
  2. There is a medical consent statement and signature required at the bottom of the Medical screen.
  3. There is a Technology Acceptable Use Policy and, for some grade levels, a Device Agreement that require a parent consent and signature.
  4. The final date requested does not offer a calendar to choose the date, and it is in the format of YYYY-MM-DD.


Completing the Process

To complete the process, you must click the “continue” button to submit your student’s information. When finished, the Final Checklist screen includes Back, Download PDF, and Continue buttons. 

  • Back: Offers the opportunity to edit the forms again for this student.
  • Download PDF: Will generate a PDF of all the information entered for this student.
  • Continue: Will return to the Pick Your Student screen where the next student may be selected (click Pick) or the Logout option may be selected.

Be sure to log out of Registration Gateway and OneLogin when finished.
