On Friday, the Ohio Department of Health adopted the recent changes to quarantine guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We have been notified that our local health commissioner has also approved these guidelines for Butler County.
Beginning immediately, the quarantine guidelines below will be implemented for those who have been identified as being a close contact. Close contact means being within six feet for 15 minutes or more of a person testing positive for COVID-19.
-
Close contacts may return to school after 10 days of quarantine from the last date of contact;
-
Close contacts may return to school after 7 days of quarantine if a negative test result from quarantine day 5 or later is given to the office; and
-
Close contacts who are at risk for developing a severe illness from COVID-19 are encouraged to follow the 14-day quarantine protocol.
All individuals who are in quarantine are requested to be vigilant in monitoring for symptoms for the full 14 day period. Please click here to review the updated guidelines.
Those students who are currently quarantined may adjust their return to school or activities accordingly. Please see the chart below for an example of the revised 10-day quarantine dates.
