The ten Class of 2021 honorees were selected based on their contributions to business, education, culture, or philanthropy in service to our region.

“Described by her peers as enthusiastic, dedicated, reliable, kind, caring, and overall a ‘can-do’ woman, Kelley Casper has inspired many with her remarkable contributions to the West Chester and Liberty communities,” read the event program, which compiled themes from her nomination letters. “ Always encouraged to give back where she can, she has stepped in to help in multiple capacities throughout the years and continues to do so whenever possible.”

A former first and second grade teacher, Casper was just re-elected to the school board for a second term to commence in January 2022. She has been a dedicated volunteer with Lakota Schools, including roles as PTO and PTA president in several schools and numerous district committees, including District Parent Council, strategic planning, redistricting and levy committees since 2005. Additionally, she volunteers at St. John Church, the Boys & Girls Club of West Chester/Liberty and Kappa Kappa Gamma.

“It was humbling to be nominated and know that my selection was driven by letters of support from my peers. My passion for volunteering, especially when children are involved, runs deep and to be recognized for that truly is an honor,” Casper said. “Being the center of attention at an event like the gala takes me out of my comfort zone, but the Chamber did a wonderful job of making us feel special. I will always be grateful that my family and so many friends were in attendance.”

“Being recognized with the other nine amazing women and getting to know them a little better was an added bonus,” she added.
