2022-2023 Preschool Registration on Hold As District Reviews New State Requirement

The Ohio Department of Education recently announced statewide changes in requirements for preschool programs that may limit Lakota’s ability to accept new students into its tuition-based program for the 2022-2023 school year.
The district is reviewing the new requirements. Current preschool families interested in continuing their preschool education at Lakota, as well as preschoolers who qualify for special education services, will retain a spot in the program next school year. However, it is likely there will be limited space for new enrollees in the tuition-based program.
Lakota, in partnership with the Butler County Educational Service Center, will continue analyzing the impact of the new requirements on future capacity. We will share the status of openings for the 2022-2023 school year as soon as the program needs can be determined.
